There was also, (it was just a) cottage which was Mrs Gall’s and she had a long drive up and she had an orchard and (we) used to go up in the summertime and they helped to pick blackcurrants, redcurrants, gooseberries ( – and climbed the dyke to pinch them!) You had to hide that from Mrs Gall. And if you were pulling the blackcurrents you had to pull them without any stalks. The redcurrants were different, you could pull the stalks with the redcurrants. But there were quite a number of people went up there to Ivybank to the orchard. Ivybank was the name of her house I think. (Down where Gallswood Gardens are now). Opposite Heathervale Walk, Lower Bathville.
